About

Simple Math is a group of obscene individuals who enjoy defiling the corpses of imaginary monsters that can only be found in the World of Warcraft. We’re a tightly-knit group of gamers who have risen to meet the challenge of becoming a top-rated raiding guild on a poorly-rated server. Our roster includes many individuals at the top of their class as well as arena teams at the top of our battlegroup.

History

In 2005 on the oceanic server of Frostmourne, members of the guilds Gun It and Throat Stab merged into a guild called Dark Matter. After a short time of raiding there were some leadership issues and about 20 people left to form a new guild. The name Simple Math was derived from a guild joke regarding the aggro transfer for tanks during the Kurinnaxx fight in AQ20.

Under the new guild name, the recruitment of non-austrailians continued and the guild’s progression picked up as we continued into Molten Core. At this point the merger with the small guild OTD happened. Even with new recruits finding quality players was difficult so we transfered to the brand new server Andorhal, where we were met with open arms of hispanics and hate.

Shortly after arriving on Andorhal we found ourselves with a slew of new members and soon we had a dead Ragnaros, Neferian, and Fandral Staghelm on our hands. After venturing into AQ40 Blizzard announced The Burning Crusade which decreased the motivation of the guild to progress. At this point we halted raiding and just pvp’d until the release of Burning Crusade.

The Simple Math of Burning Crusade started with a massive struggle for power and continued with a blast of progression once we got our ranks in order. Our raiding roster cut itself in half multiple times when individuals found themselves unable to deal with the new, more difficult content. Being the weak link was not tolerated under the new leadership. We came out in first place on Andorhal as our competition disbanded or transfered with Lady Vashj and Kael’thas Sunstrider kills. There was no turning back now.

Mount Hyjal and Black Temple turned out to be easier then expected and we rushed into the top 150 US guilds. After months of farming tier 6 content, Sunwell opened up and new players from around the world have joined our ranks to defeat Kil’Jaden.

We’re looking for the best players in the world who are interested in completing Sunwell with us and sticking around for Wrath of the Lich King.
